Historical CollectionsThese collections, comprised of unique materials of enduring value, document the history of UTSA but are not official records of UTSA. Gil Barrera Photographs of UTSA, 1972-1978 Theses and DissertationsThe Archives houses non-circulating, bound copies of all graduate theses and dissertations produced by UTSA students. Circulating copies of theses and dissertations are available at the John Peace Library on the 1604 campus. Theses and dissertations may be found by searching in the library's catalog, UCAT. Information for UTSA DepartmentsForm: Request to Transfer Records to University Archives The University Archives houses university records designated as "archival" on the Records Retention Schedule (PDF file). The Records Retention Schedule, according to the UTSA Handbook of Operating Procedures (HOP), Section 9.21, provides a list of official records for each department on the campus and prescribes the periods of authorized retention. For an introduction to records retention at UTSA, instructions for transferring records to the downtown storage facility, and appropriate forms for the transferral of records to non-archival storage, please consult the UTSA Purchasing & Distribution Services Department.
