DeeAnn Green

Current Position:
Reference Librarian/Bibliographer

Education:
BBA, Management, Angelo State University, San Angelo, TX
MLIS, Information Science, University of North Texas, Denton, TX

Background:
While a business major at Midland College in Midland, TX, I worked as a part-time Page at the Midland County Public Library where I re-shelved non-fiction books. Patrons would often ask for assistance, and it was during this time that I realized how much I enjoy connecting people with information!

Not one to listen to my initial calling, I graduated from Angelo State University with my BBA in Management. After graduation, I worked as the MLS Administrator for the San Angelo Association of REALTORS where I assisted members with technical issues. I also planned and taught classes on database/software usage.

Before long, I had an epiphany: Why not combine my background and experience? After my first semester in library school, I was confident in my choice of librarianship as a profession. I am excited to apply my experience and education in my new position at UTSA!
