LibQUAL+™ Survey Results

The UTSA Library would like to send a big THANK YOU! to everyone who participated in the LibQUAL+™ survey in October/November 2006. We received outstanding feedback about the library and are using your input in our plans for future development!

Key Points:

  • UTSA Library had 2,307 respondents
    • 1,437 Undergraduate Students
    • 326 Graduate Students
    • 243 Faculty
    • 256 Staff
    • 45 Library Staff
  • 987 comments were received from participants
  • 39.61% of respondents use resources on library premises weekly
  • 37.48% of respondents use library resources through a web page weekly
  • The overall results show that:
    • Faculty, undergraduate students, and graduate students are most satisfied with library "employees who instill confidence in users"
    • Staff members are most satisfied with "community space for group learning and group study"
    • Graduate students, undergraduate students, and staff are least satisfied with "library space that inspires study and learning"
    • Faculty are least satisfied with "print and/or electronic journal collections I require for my work"
    • Undergraduate students commented most on Library as Place and Affect of Services
    • Graduate students commented most on Information Control and Library as Place
    • Faculty commented most on Information Control (specifically library collections)
