Finding Government Publications at UTSA Library

Many government publications are catalogued in UCAT, the UTSA online library catalog. To find the materials, be aware that government publications are shelved in all areas of the library including:

  • JPL Stacks
  • JPL Folio Stacks
  • JPL Reference Stacks
  • JPL Microforms/Current Periodicals Room
  • JPL Multimedia Center
  • UTSA Downtown Campus Library

Government Publications shelved in these areas are organized by Library of Congress call numbers the same as most other library materials.

Some Texas and Federal documents are shelved in the Government Documents area in the JPL Reference Room. Documents in this area are shelved by SuDoc (Superintendent of Documents) number.

Most maps received from the depository program are located in the Map Center.

Most government publications can be checked out just like other library materials, although some are restricted to in-library use.
