Government Assistance Almanac

The Guide to all federal programs available to the American public. Categorized by federal agency, this almanac includes the programs found in the CFDA (Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance). Indexed and with an introductory chapter on obtaining federal assistance.

Annual Register of Grant Support
Location: JPL Reference Stacks AS911 .A2 A67
Includes details of 3,525 grant support programs of government agencies, public and private foundations, corporations, community trusts, unions, educational and professional associations, and special interest organizations. It covers a variety of interests from academic and scientific research, project development, travel and exchange programs, and publication support to equipment and construction grants, in-service training, and competitive awards and prizes in a variety of fields. There are four indexes one can use to find grant programs: subject, organization and program, geographic, and personnel.

Find grants for basic research, equipment acquisition, building construction/renovation, fellowships, and other program types. Also includes a chapter on proposal planning and writing.


Writing Grant Proposals

Provides access to all federal programs available to State and local governments (including the District of Columbia); federally recognized Indian tribal governments; territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals. After you find the program you want, contact the office that administers the program and find out how to apply.

The Foundation Center
