Guest Computer Use Policy
A few desktop computers in the John Peace Library and Downtown Library are reserved for guests, including alumni and Community Borrowing Program members. These computers are mainly for research purposes, so they do not offer productivity software (such as Microsoft Word). Library guests can use these computers to access most of the libraries’ electronic resources.
How to Use the Guest Computers
To acquire a temporary log-on ID, you will need to show picture identification and sign in at the Information or Front Desks of the John Peace and Downtown Libraries. (The AET Library does not offer computer access to guests.)
The Fine Print
- Use of these workstations is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Guest access is limited to one hour per day.
- If guests anticipate needing more than one hour using the guest computers to access UTSA research materials or to fill out UTSA forms, such as the FAFSA, they are encouraged to make arrangements in advance of their visit by emailing email@example.com or calling the JPL Front Desk at (210) 458-4574, or the Downtown Library Front Desk at (210) 458-2440.
- UTSA Libraries reserve the right to reclaim guest computers for accessing research materials.
