The UTSA Libraries invites students, faculty and staff to celebrate National Library Week on April 9-13 with a scavenger challenge and a photo booth contest.
The weeklong festivities will kick off Monday with the UTSA Libraries SCVNGR Challenge, a game for mobile devices that will continue through Friday. On Wednesday there will be a photo booth at both the Downtown and John Peace libraries, which will include a Facebook contest. All events are free.
UTSA Libraries SCVNGR Challenge
Download the SCVNGR app to your mobile device (iPhone, iPad or Android). The app will prompt five challenges ranging from creating a tin foil sculpture to snapping a photo of you doing your best Roadrunner impression. The activities can be done at your home library (either the John Peace or Downtown libraries) from 9 a.m. Monday through 4 p.m. Friday.
Once you complete a challenge, you will be directed to the information desk to collect a button. Collect all five buttons to be entered in a drawing to win a Club JPL t-shirt or flash drive and add your name to the Wall of Fame.
Photo Booth Contest
Take your picture at our photo booth Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Downtown Library or from 4 to 8 p.m. at the JPL.
The following day, all photos will be posted on Facebook. Those who tag themselves by noon on April 16 will be entered in a drawing to win a Club JPL t-shirt or flash drive.
