UTSA Libraries Seeking Student Ambassadors

The UTSA Libraries is recruiting students for the Library Peer Coaches Program. Peer coaches serve as ambassadors for the Libraries, offering assistance to other students in the Libraries and on campus.
They also participate in a variety of other library-related activities, such as focus groups, survey creation and collection, event planning, the Library Facebook advisory group, and workshop planning and instruction. The program also offers mentoring and training designed to support and develop the personal research skills of the coaches.
• Must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student
• UTSA full-time student with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• All majors accepted
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; high energy and a positive attitude
• An ability to work collaboratively; leadership skills and self-motivation.
Preferred, but not required: students who have completed one to two years in the ACE Program
Complete a program application and attach it along with a resume and two reference. (The application PDF cannot be saved, but can be printed. Print to Adobe PDF to create an electronic copy, or print and then scan.)

Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. Interviews for the program will be held during the summer, and successful applicants will begin work one to two weeks prior to the start of the fall 2012 semester.
