About Special Collections
UTSA Libraries Special Collections is pleased to provide reproductions of our textual, visual and audio materials, when such reproductions will not damage the original, violate copyright, or violate any restrictions imposed by the donor. Special Collections provides copies of materials to facilitate private study, scholarship, or research. We welcome you to use materials in our collections that are in the public domain and to make fair use of copyrighted materials as defined by copyright law. We ask that you please cite us. All photocopying is subject to the approval of the Special Collections staff. Copying decisions are based upon preservation and copyright concerns. Materials larger than 11" x 17" cannot be photocopied, but may be photographed. Staff will not photocopy entire published works that remain under copyright.
The reproduction and use fees charged by Special Collections are dedicated to the ongoing access and preservation of its holdings.
Photocopy to PDF: orders under 25 pages are free; orders more than 25 pages are $.25 per page for the first 100 pages and afterwards $1.20 per page
A handling fee of $5.00 per order is charged for all orders that must be mailed out by post. No handling fee is charged for orders picked up at Special Collections.
If the material is to be faxed, the following charges apply per order: no charge for local area codes, $5.00 long distance, and $10.00 overseas.
Contact Special Collections staff to obtain the total charges for the services you are requesting. Payment must be received before services are delivered.
The following forms of payment are accepted:
- Checks (made payable to UTSA Libraries
- Money orders
- Credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express)
Special Collections does not accept cash under any circumstances.
