Services for Library Users with Disabilities
Research Assistance
General research assistance is available in-person at JPL's Information Desk and the Downtown Campus Library Front Desk. Assistance by phone is available by calling (210) 458-4573 for JPL, or (210) 458-2446 for the Downtown Campus Library.
Online reference assistance is available through our Ask a Librarian service.
For more in-depth assistance, UTSA students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a subject specialist librarian. If you would like library staff to suggest an appropriate librarian, please call the Information Desk at (210) 458-4573.
Retrieving Library Materials
Front desk staff at both the John Peace and Downtown Campus libraries can provide assistance with retrieving library materials. Staff will retrieve 2-4 items upon request, as staffing permits.
If more items are needed, please provide a list of the items, including call numbers, to the Front Desk. You will be notified when the material is ready for pick-up, usually within 24 hours.
Assistance Using Library Equipment
Library staff are happy to assist with operating library scanners, photocopiers, and other equipment – just ask at one of our service desks.
Library Instruction
Faculty and students should contact us at libraryinstruction@utsa.edu at least 3 business days in advance of a workshop to arrange for accommodations.
