For Visitors & Alumni
We are pleased to offer the following options for visitors who wish to make use of UTSA Libraries resources and services.
Non-UTSA Affiliated Visitors
Non-UTSA affiliated visitors may obtain borrowing privileges at the UTSA Libraries by joining the Community Borrowing Program. Using our Get It For Me service, Community Borrowing Program members can request articles or books not available at the UTSA Libraries (for a fee per request).
Community Borrowers are welcome to ask for help with their research via the Ask a Librarian service.
Members of the UTSA Alumni Association have the same library privileges as those in the Community Borrowers Program as noted above.
Please note that UTSA alumni do not have automatic borrowing privileges at the UTSA Libraries. Alumni must be members of the Alumni Association to receive borrowing privileges.
Please contact the Alumni Association at (210) 458-4133 for membership information and fees.
Access to Databases
Unfortunately, members of the Alumni Association and the Community Borrowers Program cannot access the UTSA Libraries online databases from home due to the nature of our contractual agreements with our database providers. However, most databases are available to in-person visitors to the library.
Copying, Printing and Scanning
Non-UTSA affiliated visitors and alumni may purchase a UTSA Guest Card for use with library copiers and printers. Use of the libraries' scanners is free.
