Rita manages the UTSA Libraries government documents collections and assists students, faculty, and staff with accessing and using current and historical information from local, federal, and international government sources, including census and legal.
Rita works with faculty to strengthen the print and electronic collections in Anthropology, Spanish, Modern Languages, Criminal Justice, and Geography. She partners with faculty to teach personally-tailored instruction sessions, create class-specific research guides, and conduct in-depth individual research consultations with their students.
Rita holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts in Economics from Eastern Michigan University, and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Michigan. She earned a Certificate of Proficiency in Spanish at the Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Her ORCid ID is 0000-0001-7000-1787
