The UTSA Libraries were recently selected to house the papers of the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project (SVREP) and the William C. Velásquez Institute (WCVI). "Willie Velásquez dedicated his life to ensuring that Latinos had a voice in the political process through their vote," said Rogelio Saenz, dean of UTSA's College of Public Policy. "His life's work, contained in this archive, will undoubtedly shed light on the political challenges that Latinos continue to face today."

The UTSA Libraries, in partnership with the Faculty Center, is proud to present author and media theorist Steven Johnson at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, October 14. Johnson’s talk, entitled Where do Good Ideas Come From? The Power of Idea Incubation at a Tier One University will explore the factors that have encouraged creativity across history, particularly how they apply to ascending Tier One universities like UTSA.
