STEM and Digital Humanities are not two exclusive concepts but work together to create a well-rounded student. Southwestern University Special Collections developed an approach with campus faculty that connects STEM-focused students with digital humanities research as part of the campus Paideia culture. This initiative introduces STEM students to understand the context of the sciences in light of the history and culture around them. During this session, presenters will review SU’s Paideia culture and how special collections adapted this culture to create interdisciplinarity connections for STEM-focused students.
