Collaborating on an Agriculture Systematic Review as a Mentee Librarian

Speaker: Kimberly Reycraft,
In this lightning talk I will discuss my experience as a participant in the University of Minnesota Libraries Evidence Synthesis Institute (ESI), and then as a mentee working under a mentor librarian on an agricultural systematic review project. While systematic reviews, and librarian involvement in them, are well established in the health sciences, this is a new and growing area in STEM and other disciplines. The ESI provides intensive training for librarians supporting (or planning to support) evidence synthesis in subjects other than the health sciences. I will share my experiences as a librarian working on a systematic review for the first time with a research team from around the world. Protocol development, search strategy, data management, Covidence software, and other aspects of the process will be discussed. I will also share what made the mentee experience valuable for me, and tips for mentees to get the most out of a mentorship experience.
