“I have always made it a priority in my courses to offer students multiple opportunities to access low cost required material for classes. Since first learning about the OER program a few years ago I have been excited to utilize and learn more about open online eBooks. Given our student population – access textbooks as well as free and because the courses I teach are grounded in social justice issues that encompass Ethnic Studies, it is more important now than ever to give students the access they need to books that are slowly being banned by legislators under the anti CRT (book banning) laws.”
