The team has replaced the primary textbook in all sections of KIN 4403 with a mix of free and low-cost resources, including content from the UTSA Libraries, to enhance and diversify the curriculum.
More from the team:
"We envision an open-ended education where students in this course can use a free textbook. This textbook would use information from existing research findings as well as practical examples to be incorporated in the course content. Currently, we use YouTube videos to illustrate certain examples."
"Our area of kinesiology has not made OERs available for our students. We will be one of the first in the department to offer OER."
