More from Tekin:
"I usually try my best to use online resources whenever I can: to reduce the cost of learning for our students. As a Hispanic serving institution with many of our students also being first generation students, I do think we have the moral responsibility of making learning as affordable as possible. I use online materials for my other courses such as Contemporary Moral Issues and students really appreciate it.
In addition, curating materials for the individual courses by using online materials instead of a textbook allows for tailoring the course and making it unique. There is so much great material online, not in the form of articles only but also videos, documentaries, etc. and they help diversify learning methods. It makes the class more accessible for students with different learning styles as well as students with disabilities."
