UT San Antonio Libraries are dedicated to supporting the teaching and learning needs of our faculty, students and staff. We also value our local schools and welcome opportunities to connect with K–12 groups. If your class would like to visit, we’re happy to work with you to provide:
- A brief tour of our library spaces and services, guided by a UT San Antonio Libraries staff member.
- Support for research-focused visits that require the use of UT San Antonio’s print collections. These visits may include a brief introduction to academic libraries and guidance on using our resources.
- To provide the best experience for your students, research-focused visits must be approved by the UT San Antonio Library Instruction Coordinator at least two weeks in advance. This ensures that the resources, services and personnel can adequately meet the group's needs. Please remember that chaperones must supervise students at all times in accordance with the UTSA Minor Children on Campus policy (https://www.utsa.edu/hop/chapter9/9-13.html).
This policy applies to the general collections of both the Downtown Library and the John Peace Library on the Main Campus.
If you are interested in visiting or collaborating with other UTSA departments—such as Special Collections (specialcollections@utsa.edu), the Community-Engaged Digital Scholarship Hub (cedish@utsa.edu), or the Institute of Texan Cultures (museumtours@utsa.edu)—please feel free to contact them directly for more details.
