Assistant Dean for Special Collections
Amy provides leadership, oversight and strategic vision to shape the future of Special Collections at UTSA. By engaging in outreach to the UTSA and San Antonio communities, Amy promotes the awareness and use of Special Collections’ resources, services, programs and initiatives. Amy’s leadership supports Special Collections’ vision to bring national recognition to the university by developing distinctive research collections that document the diverse histories of San Antonio and South Texas.
Amy has an M.A. in library and information science from the University of Arizona (2004) and a B.A. in English and art history from the University of South Alabama (1997). Amy is a Certified Archivist and most recently earned a Digital Archives Specialist certificate from the Society of American Archivists.
