Profile
George is Head of Web & Creative Services at the UT San Antonio Libraries and Museums, where he leads the team responsible for designing and enhancing the library's websites, e-newsletters, and other digital initiatives. Recent projects include the Institute of Texan Cultures website redesign, the Sounds of San Anto virtual exhibit, and an expanded Ven A Comer, alongside ongoing operational support for the department's full portfolio of digital properties. His area of expertise is presenting digital content in a way that is engaging, functional, consistent, and accessible to users, and he continues to guide the team's adoption of new tools and platforms.
As department lead, George chairs the Web Governance Team and collaborates closely with Communications, Systems, ITC, Access Services, Special Collections, and other campus units to advance shared initiatives. He serves on the University Compliance 2026 initiative as well as the campus Accessibility Committee. He is committed to developing his team's skills and career growth, supporting staff as they build expertise in areas like accessibility, analytics, and content management. George has a B.F.A. with an emphasis on computer graphic arts from the University of the Incarnate Word.
