UTSA Firewall Maintenance

On Saturday, May 29 from 9am until 12am CST, University Technology Solutions will be replacing UTSA data network equipment and our firewall. During this period, all on-campus internet access and most UTSA online services will be disrupted.

This will impact any network service that relies on an active connection through the firewall (e.g., telephone, VPN, Wi-Fi, cloud-hosted applications, etc.). Essentially, if you would normally use your UTSA credentials to sign in to a service, that service will be disrupted while this work is being completed.

This upgrade is part of our continuous efforts to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of UTSA's technology infrastructure. With it, we will further enhance network security as well as enable higher levels of network capacity and resiliency. While this work is essential, we also recognize that it may present an inconvenience to our users.
