Arturo Infante Almeida, Director, Art Curator

Arturo Infante Almeida has served as curator of the UTSA Art Collection since 2002. Dedicated to promoting San Antonio and South Texas artists, he is committed to advancing the region's thriving art community. An advocate of local art and culture, he has partnered with museums, galleries, businesses, cultural organizations, and artists to promote new exhibition spaces and opportunities for cultural exchange. He initiated The Texas Contemporary Artists Series at the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures. Other exhibitions include Texas Photographers at the 14th Annual China International Photographic Art Exhibition in Lishu City, China, VOZ: Selections from the UTSA Collection, an exhibition of 222 works by 166 Latino and Latina artists, and Arte Latina: ROAR, an exhibition of work by 20 Latina artists and writers.

Daniel “Dan” Guerrero, Museum Collection Manager

Daniel “Dan” Guerrero is the Museum Collection Manager for the UT San Antonio Art Collection, where he oversees the inventory, documentation, care, and preservation of the university’s permanent collection. Previously, he was the Registrar for Collections at the McNay Art Museum, bringing extensive experience in museum registration and collections management. As an artist himself, Guerrero offers a distinctive artistic perspective in his stewardship of the collection.
