Featured Artist Graciela Iturbide

Graciela Iturbide's photographs of native Mexican tribes present indigenous culture alongside Catholicism, foreign culture and economic influences. Iturbide became a part of the communities she photographed, earning trust that allowed her to capture private lives and nuanced culture. She was a student of Manuel Álvarez Bravo and was equally proficient and lauded.
