Featured Artist Richard Armendariz

A UTSA faculty member, Richard "Ricky" Amendariz grew up in El Paso where Texan, Mexican and native heritage influenced his life and informed his aesthetic. Armendariz's works usually employ carving line art of American Indian symbols and mythology with Spanglish text into colorful backgrounds, creating his signature style.
