Downtown Library, BVB 2.314

Thursday, Oct. 25
Noon to 1 p.m.

UTSA Libraries will host Claudia García-Louis, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, at the Downtown Library for her presentation, "AfroLatinxs: Navigating Blackness and Latinidad in the Age of Trump," as part of the popular Pizza and Research series. The presentation will focus around a central question: What does it mean to be both Black and Latinx in the United States?

García-Louis will problematize the racialization of AfroLatinxs, highlight the impact colorism has on their sense of belonging and present their stories of resistance and survival on a college campus.

Pizza will be provided while supplies last.
