Panel discusses voting power of Generation Z

More than 20 million Gen Z-ers — those born after 1996 — will be eligible to vote in the November election. What impact will they have? What motivates their choices? And will they show up? Watch this panel discussion on the upcoming election and the influence young voters will have on politics. 

The virtual event was part of the UTSA Libraries' Pizza and Research panel series and included information on registering to vote and finding polling places.

Panelists were:

  • Manuel Garza, Senior Advisor with the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project (SVREP)
  • Dr. Patricia Jaramillo, professor in the Department of Public Administration at UTSA
  • Dallana Camargo, graduate student in the Department of Public Administration at UTSA, and MOVE Texas Civic Leadership Program Fellow
