UTSA Libraries will launch new initiative for digital scholarship research

January 26, 2024 - UTSA Libraries, in collaboration with faculty partners, will hold an Open House to launch the Community-Engaged Digital Scholarship Hub (CEDISH). This new initiative aims to promote partnerships among faculty, staff, and the community in digital scholarship methods, projects, teaching, and research.The digital scholarship initiatives developed through CEDISH will be integrated into academic programs and curricula, providing students with the necessary knowledge and technical skills applicable to their coursework and future careers after graduation.

In Memoriam: UTSA Libraries commemorates the legacy of librarian Rita Wilson

UTSA Libraries and the entire UTSA community are mourning the loss of librarian Rita Wilson, who passed away earlier this month. Wilson was the UTSA government document expert and subject area library liaison for the anthropology, modern languages, linguistics, criminal justice and geography departments.

Congratulations UTSA 2023-24 Adopt-a-Free-Textbook faculty grant winners

(JANUARY 17, 2024) — UTSA Libraries announces that seven Adopt-a-Free-Textbook grants have been awarded to 11 faculty members for the 2023-24 academic year for their commitment to adopting or creating free or Open Educational Resource (OER) textbooks as the primary instructional materials in their courses. These grants will result in substantial student savings, totaling $552,686 over the course of the grant period.
