Some areas of JPL limited due to maintenance Jan. 30

On Saturday, Jan. 30, for one day only, a portion of the John Peace Library will have limited access due to a partial electricity shutdown by UTSA Facilities.

Maintenance crews will be installing a new electric panel in the JPL Data Center from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Power to the east side of the building will be shut off, and access to study space and computing areas closest to the Main Building will be restricted. However, areas closest to the Sombrilla entrance will be available for study space. All JPL study and computing spaces will be available the next day on Sunday, Jan. 31, and normal operations will resume.

Please note, the “Current Occupancy at JPL” counter located on the library homepage may be affected as a result of the electricity outage and may produce inaccurate numbers. Once power is restored, the counter will resume normal operations.

Digital access to library resources continues to be available virtually, including access to more than 2 million digital publications, research journals and scholarly articles. Find more information on digital library resources on our website.
