Diana Kennedy
Culinary Archive and Mexican Cookbook Collection Endowment
In 2019 Special Collections acquired the papers of Diana Kennedy as well as her collection of 19th century Mexican cookbooks. The papers document her research and travels throughout Mexico, the development of her cookbooks, publicity and awards throughout her career, and her personal life. From 2020-2022 Special Collections acquired her reference library consisting of over 600 cookbooks and books on culinary history, ingredients, herbs, and spices.
Funds distributed from the endowment will be used to maintain, grow, and promote the Diana Kennedy Collection and UTSA’s Mexican Cookbook Collection.
