Chicano Research Collections Endowment

Funds distributed from the endowment support programs, activities, acquisitions, preservation, and promotion of collections documenting the Chicano Movement in San Antonio and South Texas.

Diana Kennedy Culinary Archive and Mexican Cookbook Collection Endowment

Funds distributed from the endowment will be used to maintain, grow, and promote the Diana Kennedy Collection and UTSA's Mexican Cookbook Collection.

Happy Foundation Research Archive Fund

The archive is comprised of over 600 linear feet of research materials. It is the largest repository documenting San Antonio and South Texas’ LGBTQ+ history and includes organizational records, oral histories, publications, and hundreds of subject files, as well as Hap Veltman’s papers documenting the commercial development of the San Antonio River Walk, Blue Star Arts Complex, and the preservation of several historic structures in downtown San Antonio. Your support will help make this unique collection available to researchers, students, and the community at large..

Madrina/Padrino Fund

Funds provide support for rare book acquisitions and preservation. Priority acquisitions from the fund go towards the Mexican Cookbook Collection and the Artists' Books Collection.

Ambassadors for Archives Fund

Funds provide support for furthering our mission to collect, preserve, and make available our archives to students, researchers, the community, and the world.

Faculty Teaching in the Archives Grants

Support our Faculty Teaching in the Archives Grants, a program designed to assist instructors in creating or enhancing undergraduate and graduate courses with unique materials from UTSA Special Collections. This initiative encourages the development of innovative primary source assignments and projects that engage students in hands-on learning.
