UTSA Libraries to collect and promote campus research in new digital library

OCTOBER 25, 2021 — Research produced at UTSA can now be housed on the Runner Research Press, a digital library of scholarly and creative work that will archive among other things journal articles, conference posters, technical reports and faculty-sponsored papers.

The online library will preserve and disseminate the scholarly output of the university and will showcase discoveries made and knowledge generated at UTSA.

UTSA Libraries tour highlights local influence on Mexican American civil rights

SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 — A new, interactive tour produced by the UTSA Libraries and Institute of Texan Cultures allows users to experience San Antonio’s significant role in the Mexican American civil rights movement on the same streets where history was made.

UTSA Libraries reopen as planned, provides access to study space, computing, materials


AUG. 16, 2021—Fall operations at the UTSA Libraries will resume as planned, and several locations will be open beginning today with study rooms available for booking via the library’s online reservation system.

UTSA Libraries reopen, construction begins on ‘bright,’ bold reimagination of JPL


AUGUST 3, 2021— Beginning Aug. 23, the UTSA Libraries will reopen and 24-hour service will return to the John Peace Library on Main campus. Additionally, new views will be coming to the JPL with the kickoff of the “Heart of the Campus” project—a reimagination of the third floor into a library for the 21st century.

Sawtelle, Curry donate $100,000 to UTSA Libraries to fund free textbook program

MAY 18, 2021 – To help ease the burden of the high costs of textbooks, Scott Sawtelle and Kathleen Curry have committed $100,000 to the UTSA Libraries’ Adopt-A-Free Textbook program which supports faculty in utilizing free and low-cost learning materials.
