APRIL 22, 2021 — UTSA researchers looking to publish open access scholarly articles may find it easier to do so thanks to a transformative agreement between UTSA Libraries and Cambridge University Press.

DECEMBER 1, 2020 — Meet Carla Burgos, a UTSA graduate student in Art History and student employee of UTSA Libraries Special Collections where she has worked for almost two years transcribing manuscripts from the Mexican Cookbook Collection—the largest in the nation.

The U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) have awarded the UTSA Libraries and the Institute of Texan Cultures nearly $150,000 in grant funding in support of virtual learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mexican American Civil Rights Digital Portal

The UTSA Libraries will develop plans for a multi-phased project to build a digital portal that will aggregate metadata and digital representations of primary source materials documenting the history of Mexican American civil rights dispersed across institutions in the San Antonio area.

The UTSA Libraries have released the first in a series of digital mini-cookbooks featuring favorite recipes from the Mexican Cookbook Collection, making it even easier to explore the largest collection in the nation.

Process implemented for safe return of books at John Peace Library

Students, faculty and staff wishing to return borrowed books and other materials from the UTSA Libraries may now do so during limited hours at the John Peace Library on UTSA’s Main Campus.

Libraries staff have implemented a process for the safe return of the materials from noon-5 p.m. May 2-3, May 9-10 and May 16-17.
